This note is about www.frankmuir.co.uk and the Valter Casino tools opened from it. It says which details are taken, why, who else can see them, and how to ask for a copy or a correction. It is written for readers in the United Kingdom and follows the UK data rules that apply to them.

What is taken

  • The profile — name, birthday, address, inbox, phone, and the currency you choose.
  • Papers — a photograph of an ID and a proof of address, when a check is needed before money leaves.
  • The cashier log — payments in, payments out, the rail, offer choices and stakes. A full card number is handled by the payment firm. It is not kept as plain text on this website.
  • The thread — what you send to [email protected] or to chat, and what comes back.
  • The device trace — IP address, browser, device type and pages opened, used to keep the session safe and to see which pages are used.

What it is used for

  • Opening the profile, taking a payment, and sending money back.
  • Checking that the player is 18 or over and that the profile is theirs.
  • Applying the rules on bonuses and looking into suspected fraud or offer abuse.
  • Answering a question and sending service notes about the profile.
  • Keeping the records a gambling operator is required to keep.
  • Reading site use in aggregate, where the cookie choice allows it.

The grounds are the contract (running the profile), a legal duty (age, identity and financial checks) and legitimate interests (security, fraud control and anonymous statistics). Marketing mail goes out only after an opt-in. Each message has a way to stop the next ones, and the desk can switch them off as well.

Small files on the device

A cookie is a short text file the device stores. This site uses three kinds:

File Job Life
Required Holds the sign-in, remembers a cookie choice and protects forms. The site misbehaves without these. The session, or up to a year
Choices Holds a language or a display setting you picked. Up to a year
Counting Counts visits in aggregate so a broken page can be found. On only if you allow it. Up to 13 months

The browser can refuse or wipe these files. Refusing the required ones signs you out and can stop the cashier from loading.

Who else is shown a copy

A copy goes only to the parties needed to run the service: the firms that move the money, the studios that settle a round, the provider that checks identity, and the host that stores the site. A regulator or a law-enforcement body can be given records when the law requires it. The information is not sold. If a supplier sits outside the United Kingdom, a recognised transfer safeguard is used.

How long a file stays

Profile and payment records stay while the profile is open, and then for the stretch gambling and tax rules require — often several years after the last movement. Desk messages stay while a dispute could still be raised. Device logs stay for a shorter window, then they are deleted or stripped of identifiers. When the reason for holding a file has ended, it is erased or anonymised.

What you can ask

  • A copy of the personal information held about you.
  • A correction if a detail is wrong.
  • Deletion where the law allows it. Identity and payment records that must be kept cannot be erased on request.
  • An objection to marketing, or to processing that rests on legitimate interests.
  • A portable copy of the data you provided.

Send the request to [email protected]. A reply is aimed for within one month. If that reply is not enough, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Under 18

The site is not for anyone under 18. A profile that turns out to belong to a minor is closed, and the related records are kept only as far as the law requires. See also responsible gambling.
